AmbieSense originally stared as a large, European project funded by the EU-IST FP5 Research Programme. Due to the high success in both research and innovation, some people in the project decided to commercialise, and AmbieSense Ltd was founded early in 2005 after very strong support and help from Scottish Enterprise from autumn 2004 and onwards.
Up until now one can count over 30 research publications resulting from the project, but also success in commercialising several technologies for the creation of mobile information services.
